Carytown
John and I live just blocks from Carytown! This place has great dining options and thrift store shopping. Our favorite places to go with the pup are Citizen Burger Bar, Burger Bach and Garden Grove Brewery! Also Fire and Hops has a very special place in our hearts, if you want good Italian food.
Shockoe Bottom
For those staying in either of the hotel blocks, you'll be right in the heart of Shockoe Botton - a neighborhood of Richmond filled with restaurants, markets, shopping and more! We recommend going to Siné Irish Pub and grabbing a cold Guinness.
Belle Isle
Spend some time in the sun on this small 54-acre island in the heart of Richmond! The main access to Belle Isle is by pedestrian footbridge from Tredegar St. on the north shore. Alternate access is by wooden bridge near 22nd St. or by rock-hopping from the south shore.
Tang & Biscuit
The place that makes Shuffleboard fun and COOL! This place has food, drinks and endless board games! Personal favorite spot in Richmond. You can get drinks in a lightbulb, what more could you want.
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
We encourage everyone to go check out all the incredible exhibits that VMFA has to offer before the wedding!
Children's Museum of Richmond
John tells me that Richmond has a great Children's museum and he doesn't disappear for hours there at a time.
