Travel Note
ARRIVING IN TORONTO: We recommend downloading the ArriveCAN app on your phone to submit a predeclaration. This allows you to skip the long lines at customs. Once in the customs area, look for the ArriveCAN logo on a banner (far side of the room). Head toward that line, scan your passport, and follow the instructions on the screen. The machine will print a receipt. KEEP THE RECEIPT. This is your ticket to leave. TSA: The customs officer will mark your receipt and give it back to you. KEEP THE RECEIPT. Get your bags from the carousel, proceed to the exit, and hand the TSA officer your receipt to leave.

RETURNING HOME: We recommend downloading the MPC app (Mobile Passport Control). Fill out the information while waiting in the security line. This will allow you to take a shorter line through customs. Once through security, head to customs clearance and look for the MPC banner line.

If you do not have an international phone plan and/or don't need to make any phone calls, we recommend downloading an international SIM card from Airalo. They are cheap, easy to use, and you can always top up the data if needed.
