Just the Beginning

Will she swipe right?

Will she swipe right? Rachel and Jared were on a Jewish dating app, JSwipe, looking for someone to share their life with. They both matched, and Jared sent Rachel a message. Unfortunately, Rachel was having a difficult time at work, and thought this was the wrong moment to start something – she never responded. A little time had passed, and they both matched again! This time when he reached out, she talked with her friends to help her decide. She contacted her network to see if they had any mutual friends. After some encouragement, she was open to having a conversation and a first date. Rachel is forever grateful for Jared's persistence and patience!

Our First Date

3.26.2019

The day they were supposed to meet, Rachel was not feeling well. She messaged one of her good friends to find an excuse for opting out of the date. After a pep talk, Rachel went to the Katy Trail Outpost to meet Jared. The two met, talked, and laughed for several hours. This was the start of something new!

She said YES!

6.13.2020

Jared planned the evening down to the last detail! He asked Rachel's parents (and her sister, Stephanie, who was home because of the pandemic) for their blessing. He had the perfect ring and had the help of friends and family for the ideal proposal. Jared asked Rachel to go on a picnic, and she could pick any place to eat. Of course, there was only one choice for picnic food - Great Outdoors! The park was the same place that they went when Jared asked Rachel to be his girlfriend. Rachel and Jared decided to go for a walk around the park. Things were going according to plan, until Rachel spotted a dog. She did the only sensible thing and went over to pet the precious puppy. Jared, getting a little frustrated, asked her if she could stay focused. On her way back to the walking path, she noticed someone familiar, dressed in all black, and trying to hide herself in a bush! She asked Jared, "Is that Vicky?!" Instead of answering he said, "I guess I will do it now..." Rachel looked over at him, and he immediately got down on one knee. She said YES!! Both Rachel's and Jared's families were waiting for them to celebrate with champagne and cake. It was a wonderful ending to a beautiful day. We genuinely enjoyed sharing our love and this next chapter with our families, and soon we cannot wait to share it with you.
