Cheers erupted from people around the pool and beach—it was such a surreal and beautiful moment. That night, they celebrated with the amazing friends they made during the trip. It truly was one of the most unforgettable trips of their lives, and without a doubt, the most perfect proposal Steph could’ve ever imagined.

Shortly after Stephanie and Jacob started dating, they took their first big out-of-town trip to a music festival in Panama City, FL. One night after the concerts, they confidently set off toward their hotel—led by Jacob, who had enjoyed a few drinks and suddenly believed he possessed an impeccable sense of direction. To make things more interesting, neither of them had proper hiking boots. Fueled by excitement, Steph eagerly led the way ahead of Jacob, determined to reach the top. They reunited halfway at Mirror Lake, where Steph quickly took off again, buzzing with anticipation. When she reached the summit, she waited for Jacob to appear, giving him a few extra minutes to recover before photos—those steep trails had taken their toll. Along the way, Jacob introduced Steph to some “new” vocabulary and jokingly claimed the hike made him question his marriage. But once he took in the breathtaking view from the top, he completely understood why Steph insisted on the climb. Despite a few slips and falls, the hike ended with stunning photos and unforgettable memories they’ll cherish forever.
