Maid of Honor
The classiest of ladies, Kate has been Laura's sister for as long as she can remember. Their sisterhood goes beyond the many moves they made as a family, beyond a shared sighting of the Loch Ness Monster, and beyond a passion for vegan food - these two sisters share a mutual love for a boy named Liam.
Best Man
Brent and Sean met their freshman year of college, where they forged a friendship that would take them through three apartments, innumerable mindblowing concerts and music festivals, ski trips, and through one semi-drunken encounter with The Shins. More than a roommate, best friend, or fellow shoegaze enthusiast, Sean is truly a Bro Beyond, and more than deserving of the title Best Man.
Maid of Honor
Shelby and Laura met on the first day of high school in 1999 and Laura pestered her every day until they were best friends. Shelby couldn't remember Laura's name the first time she stayed over at Shelby's house, so she called her "hey, girl". Now, 20 years later, this girl is co-Maid of Honor and just as much of a sister.
Groomsman
Some brothers you’re born with, others are thrust upon you by law. Long before marrying Brent’s sister, Matt and Brent became fast friends, spending their time playing Mario Kart, watching classic 80s action movies, and sharing occasionally one-too-many martinis at Top of the Hub. Matt is all you could ever hope for in a brother-in-law. Well, with the exception of his taste in sports teams.
Bridesman
When they met in Japanese class in college, Ross and Laura bonded instantly and embarked on many adventures around campus as velociraptors. Even when he moved to the Netherlands, they continued their friendship across borders and brought their antics to Amsterdam and Berlin and the Internet.
Groomsman
Brent and Aaron met on the same floor as Sean and Steve their freshman year. An intrepid world traveller, Aaron has taken Brent on whirlwind tours of Spain, Scotland, Ireland, Mexico, and his second home country of Canada. A True Scotsman, avid softball player, smoked meat enthusiast and a ginger to his core, Aaron is one of those legendary guys you couldn’t get married without.
Bridesmaid
Chicagoan and fellow creative, Nina and Laura met in High School where they worked side by side on the yearbook staff. They kept in touch, but it was when Nina co-founded a YouTube project and invited Laura to join that they truly became life-long friends, sharing everything from hockey rivalries to road trips, other weddings and life milestones, and a mutual love of Scotch and Legos.
Groomsman
Steve was one of the first people Brent met in college, where Brent thought Steve might already be old enough to buy him beer. In addition to planning many of the European excursions they shared while studying abroad, Steve also hosted the annual ski trips to Stratton that were so cherished by his friends. Steve’s sophistication and forethought make him an exceptional friend and companion.
Bridesmaid
Olivia and Laura were work wives at Pearson Education for over 4 years, sharing happy hour drinks, laughter, and career and boy woes. Olivia has seen Laura's best and worst dates (sometimes by re-enactment), and knows that this one is definitely The Best.
Groomsman
Anthony and Brent met when the two of them worked at Yahoo, when he moved to Boston from Portland, Oregon. Brent and Anthony would spend long stretches at each others’ desks talking philosophy, complaining about clients, or cracking up about Auralnauts (seriously, look it up). A friend and comrade through many karaoke and dive bar adventures, Anthony is an indispensable groomsman.
Bridesmaid
While their friendship might be the newest on this list, when they met at work at a startup their bond was immediate and obvious. Kim is as tall as Laura is short, but they both share a love of punk music, lumberjacks, beer, and commitment to the bit.
Groomsman
The one who started it all. Not only is Adam one of Brent’s oldest friends dating back to the heady days of 6th grade, Adam threw the parties where Brent and Laura first met (go read the story - it’s stinkin cute). A hiking buddy, grilling companion, and true Halo legend, Adam’s status as a groomsman was cemented long ago.
Officiant
Aaron married his high school sweetheart, bridesmaid Nina D'Angier (OVER 10 YEARS!), so he knows a thing or two about love. He also knows a thing or two about Star Wars, which makes him the perfect person to bring Brent and Laura together.
