8:30 am - 9:30 am
In Hindu weddings, the Groom is led to the marriage site in a procession known as the Baraat. He is accompanied by family members, groomsmen, and friends and rides in on a white horse. The music during a Baraat sets the mood for the rest of the marriage event, with upbeat and exciting songs blasting as the Groom makes his way to the wedding ceremony. ALL guests are welcome to celebrate together in the Baraat, the more the merrier!
9:30 am - 12:00 pm
The traditional Hindu wedding is a deeply meaningful and symbolic combination of rituals and traditions under a mandap (or canopy). The couple will take the saptapadi, or seven steps, as they vow to support each other and live happily together. The ceremony not only joins the souls of the bride and groom, but also creates a strong tie between two families and now -- two cultures! There will be lunch following the ceremony with a short break before the start of the reception.
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Please join us for an Indian vegetarian lunch following the Hindu wedding ceremony.
