Our favorite local restaurant, the Public provides a seasonal menu that’s eager to please even the most amateur foodie! From date nights to celebrating our engagement, this restaurant holds a special place in our hearts and journey in Savannah!
This Savannah staple is a must try if you have a few minutes to spare. With locations all around town, Byrd’s is a local treasure full of delightfully small but mighty cookies. We have visited so often that we know all of the flavors by heart (and you can’t go wrong with any of them). Stop by for free samples and leave enough space in your luggage for a bag or two!
Visit the iconic Forsyth Park located near the city center. Enjoy the foliage, sit at the famous fountain, and maybe grab some brunch at Collins Quarter located inside the park! Get your cameras ready!
Downtown Savannah is known for its parks and squares, but what makes this one special is the fact that we got engaged here, in front of the beautiful green fountain! To add to its beauty, the Cathedral Basilica of St John the Baptist is located catty corner to it. Take a visit, you won’t regret it!
Have some extra time to kill? Head out to Tybee Island, the local beach hotspot. While it’s the offseason, the beauty of the ocean and quaintness of the beach town make up for the colder temperature!
This is a one stop shop for an empty afternoon or evening. From sipping at the rooftop bar with the best water view in town, to browsing the crystal collection in the JW Marriot, to walking along the river as container ships go to port, this area of town is a melting pot of activities that we always go back to.
Finding yourself staying outside the city center? Browse the outlets in Pooler for a variety of deals!
Staying in the city and have the shopping itch? Take a walk down Broughton street and enjoy eclectic souvenir shops, boutiques, and even Lululemon!
