We're saying 'I do!'

Carly and Sam met in 2020 just after COVID struck and shut everything down for the unforeseeable future. You may be wondering, if everything is shut down then how did they meet? And to that they say…. Online! As fate would have it they matched on a dating website despite Sam residing in Europe for a deployment and Carly riding out the pandemic in Waco. 5,000+ miles could not keep them apart and they have been inseparable ever since their first date (sitting in Carly’s college apartment bingeing Netflix and eating Tex-Mex. Thanks COVID!). Carly and Sam started their love story in a very non-traditional manner, but they wouldn’t have it any other way.

Stationed in the beautiful city of Savannah, Sam and Carly fell in love with the southern charm, history, and small town feel that the city provides. They often found themselves wandering around town on the weekends, spending time in the beautiful squares, hunting for sweet treats and lattes, and perusing the historical sites. Downtown Savannah quickly became their go to place. Fast forward to December 1st, 2023, Sam proposed to Carly in Lafayette Square right in front of the beautiful emerald green fountain, with the picturesque Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist in the background. It was a beautiful night and with the help of a friend, Sam was able to surprise Carly and of course she said “Yes!” They then went to dinner at their favorite restaurant in town, The Public, and reminisced on their relationship so far and their long future together. Now, when they walk around downtown, they often make it a point to visit Lafayette square to remember that special night!
