If you're looking for things to do/museums specifically....Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford are located next to each other and each has a lot of historical knowledge about the assembly line, Ford, Model T's etc.
Sarah's favorite place for Chicken Schwarmas and authentic hummus. She'll go to her grave standing behind that statement. They will call you 'my friend' and I am here for it forever and always.

There is a game on August 25th at 7:10 pm against the Houston Astros! Tickets are regularly pretty affordable and this is walking distance from the hotels!
If you want the true full Detroiter experience, you've got to hit Lafayette Coney Island for a coney dog and chili cheese fries. A family favorite, the Eaton's typically go here after running the Turkey Trot on thanksgiving. Issa balance.
San Morello is attached to the Shinola Hotel - they have a great bar and tasty Italian food. The food is more gourmet/specialty. You will likely need a reservation for dinner or brunch.

A great brewery for anyone looking to grab a drink and some snacks in between the Ceremony and Reception. There is also a location closer to downtown Detroit that has a rooftop, weather permitting.
A great place with a second-floor bar that allows you to overlook Comerica park. Great for drinks before a game. We also ran into Matthew and Kelly Stafford here!
