Greenville, SC: 1 hour 15 mins. from Greenwood   The downtown is a nice place to walk, eat and shop. Greenville has Falls Park -a river walk - and a zoo. Aiken , SC: 1 hour 23 min. drive from Greenwood   It is a cute town to walk around, shop and eat. Augusta , Ga. : 1 hour 16 min drive from Greenwood Augusta has a riverwalk and a nice mall. On March 1 there is a free tour of the Augusta Sculpture Trail. Clemson University is an hour drive from Greenwood. Abbeville, SC:  Brett's hometown  It is a quaint town with shopping and places to eat.  Greenwood, SC :  Chain Restaurants : Fatz, O Charleys , Chilis, Applebees, Outback and McCalisters Greenwood has good locally owned restaurants downtown. One of them, Howard's On Main, sometimes has live music upstairs at night. For craft beer and wine downtown: The Mill House or Flynns on Maxwell.  Other attractions in Greenwood: South Bend winery,  Sports Break ( pool tables and food), REI movie theater and Expo 300 for bowling. There are lots of places in Greenwood to get your nails done and a manicure. There is a Starbucks and another coffee shop called Aromas. There is a Brewsters for ice cream and as Smothie KIng.  On Lake Greenwood there is Break on the Lake - a bar with food .
