Meet you in the woods

Brett's first field season he spent it in Decorah, Iowa where he stayed at the DNR wildlife office (aka a double wide trailer) in Highlandville, Iowa where Paige was working as a Natural Resource Aid. After a few weeks she said, "Hey I like your backpack" and he knew in that moment it was it. From there he invited her to a trivia night in June and then they took a 4th of July kayaking trip where they got caught in a monsoon. Hiking Effigy's Mounds in August where the leaves were not the only things falling. Fast forward to us taking on Ames, Iowa on for almost 2 years where the family grew by 2 rescue cats and one dog. Brett graduated and knew the West was where his heart was destined and the family followed. 7 months of breathing the dry air and we went on a weekend get away to Walla Walla, Washington and Brett had a pit stopped planned at Palouse Falls where he asked if she would spend her life with him. And the planning followed!
