Sean and I stopped at Jersey Mike’s the day after the wedding grabbed our favorite sandwiches and went to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We pulled into headquarters, dropped the tail gate and had a picnic. The trees were so tall, luscious and green. The butterflies, colors and sun were all so colorful.
Working 9 to 5, we just had to be big kids for a day and ride all the rides at Dollywood, walked through her childhood home and even grabbed a loaf of her famous cinnamon bread, with extra cream cheese for Sean. It was hot! We didn’t think it would be but it was H-O-T. Chase all the rainbows and butterflies you want to at Dollywood.
We headed into Gatlinburg to walk across the SkyBridge, ride the SkyLift and see the mountains from a different view.
I didn’t know the love Sean had for Christmas until our first one together. We started a department 56 village our first year together and knew we had to get our 2021 house from here. We spent so much time laughing and remembering our childhood Christmas’s that 2 hours and $300 later we were set! We are starting a new tradition with the kids this year so we even picked up a “pickle” for our tree.
