what's the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal, please, but dress appropriately because we will be getting married in a church, however our reception will take place at a barn.

Will there be food and drinks served?

Answer

Of course! We will have appetizers, as well as a buffet style dinner, lots of desserts, and an open bar with beer, wine, hard cider, & liquor.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your wedding invitation says, "and guest," then yes, if not, then please just bring yourself.

what happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby. Cocktail hour will start at the Reception Venue at 5:00.

do we need our ID?

Answer

Please bring your ID, as the bar will request to see it when you ask for a drink.

what should i do if i can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can't make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no," so we can plan accordingly.

can i attend the dancing portion of the reception if i didn't get an invite?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. If you did not receive an invitation, please refrain from attending our reception, as we only accounted for a set number of guests.

where should i park?

Answer

There will be plenty of free parking at our wedding reception.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love kids, we really do, but if we didn't include them on your invitation, then please just bring yourself.

can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

No, there is no outside alcohol allowed on the venues property - that includes in your car.

will a shuttle service be provided?

Answer

Unfortunately no, so please plan accordingly.

is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

There are ramps throughout Shanahan's Barn, making it wheelchair accessible.
