Elizabeth and Benjamin met on the evening of Elizabeth’s champagne birthday – a wildly anticipated day that Elizabeth had waited 23 years of her life for. Circumstantially, on this given night, the bar scene in Ottawa wasn’t crazed. But what ended up happening was both a total fluke, and a serendipitous moment in time when the stars aligned just so.

Shortly following midnight, on the first day of a new decade together, Benjamin asked Elizabeth to the terrace for a photo, with their new puppy Seven. As Elizabeth turned around, Benjamin was down on one knee. She screamed, shouted "YES," and they were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
