We matched on Tinder in August of 2020 at the height of the pandemic. After a week of texting and Facetime calls, we sensed the obvious significance of each other and the natural connection we were to cultivate in the years to come. Our first date was at Millersville University, where we ate pizza and talked about music, poetry, sports, school, and family until it was 2 a.m. but the night felt young. The next day, we watched the swans in the pond and immediately agreed to do this again the next weekend and then the next and the next, and we made our relationship official in Harrisburg at the Capitol Water Fountain. Luke met her parents and her yorkie, said we loved each other, and we have spent every Christmas together since. After Bailey graduated from Millersville University, we found a place in Harrisburg and moved in together in August of 2022. We have spent anniversaries in D.C. and Pittsburgh and vacationed in Mexico. Football, baseball, hockey games, concerts, exploring new restaurants, and reading are mutual passions. Luke cooks, and Bailey makes a good espresso martini. On December 22nd, 2024, we took a trip with the Rocco family to Peddler's Village in Lahaska, PA, where Luke proposed in front of the Christmas lights. We often spend evenings in December driving slowly through neighborhoods, enjoying the festive lights, so it was a natural fit. Bailey and Luke are eager to be married.
