Take the tram ride 630 feet to the top! You can also check out the newly renovated, interactive museum on the ground level.
City Museum
The City Museum is a true city gem in downtown St. Louis. It is more of a playground than a museum and is suitable for big kids and adventurous adults. Complete with eats and drinks, rooftop adventures, and a 10 story slide. Bring your play clothes and close toed shoes!

Grant’s Farm is your ultimate interactive zoo experience! You can meet the infamous Clydesdales, feed baby goats, and even ride a camel. And they have funnel cakes!

Just 1 minute from Ameristar, this historic district has the “Old Market” feel with restaurant patios overlooking the river, vintage shops, and sweet bakeries. We highly recommend Kilwins for ice cream and Grandma’s Cookies for cookies!
Saint Louis Science Center
The Saint Louis Science Center is full of interactive science-technology exhibits included in free general admission. Ticketed areas include IMAX theaters, the Discovery Room for younger children, and one of the world’s largest planetariums.

Streets of St. Charles
Just 2 minutes from Ameristar, the Streets of Saint Charles is a great local hotspot with restaurants, shops, and hotels. Check out Tucanos (kid friendly) for a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience. Check out Narwhals (21+ after 7pm) for “boozy slushy” flights and loaded nachos!
Union Station
This downtown St. Louis icon has been recently revamped and is loaded with attractions for kids and adults. Check out the St. Louis aquarium (complete with shark tank!), Ferris wheel, indoor ropes course, and mirror maze all in one place. Save time for the fire and light show, soda fountain square, and carousel.
