Time to Celebrate!

Lauren and Derek met in true old school fashion, at a bar! They both went to a neighborhood sports bar (Shoutout to Uptown Hop House) to watch their beloved Mariners, Derek sat down one bar stool away from Lauren and they started chatting. Julio Rodriquez hit his first career grand slam, the Mariner's won, and Derek got Lauren's phone number with a promise of dinner the following week.

Travel is something Derek and Lauren love to do and has been a constant feature in their relationship. Their first trip together came just a few months into dating with a chilly visit to Chicago in January 2023 to watch the Kraken destroy the Blackhawks. They quickly realized how well their travel styles meshed and that Chicago would be the first of many trips to come. In total they've been to nearly 20 different destinations, flown over 91,000 miles together, and experienced 14 professional sports stadiums together.
