Good question! We never know. Weather at high altitudes can vary and change by the minute, so be ready to pack accordingly. Depending on your itinerary, you can go from 40 degree weather to 100 degree weather within an hour. Breckenridge has very mild summers. 99% of homes in Summit County do not have AC, so open up the windows and let in the fresh mountain breeze!
Breckenridge is a high altitude town. Temperatures during late-May to early-June can have low's in the 30's and highs in the 70's. The secret is to pack layers! If you are planning on exploring out of the highest altitudes, pack a little bit of everything. Finding accommodations with a washer and dryer is recommended.

Altitude sickness affects about 40% of visitors. It is better to come prepared. Give your body time to adjust to the altitude change and take it easy for the first day. Pack some Dramamine just in case. No one likes being sick on vacation!
There are endless options! If you want to be close and within walking distance to everything, booking a place on or close to Main Street will be perfect for you. Be sure to research parking options as some of the condos/townhomes have smaller parking garages that are not suitable for large vehicles.
The weather is unpredictable and I can promise, you WILL see snow. It is important to rent a vehicle that is both comfortable for long drives if you are planning on exploring the area but also suitable for unexpected weather and terrain. We recommend renting a vehicle with four-wheel drive!
