Thomas and I have actually never been but this hike is legendary - it's the closest lake to hike to on the "Enchantments" trail, which is famous and extremely difficult to get camping permits for. This lake is super pretty and I'm sure the views won't disappoint, but it's also very popular - so we recommend going on a weekday and getting up early to beat the crowds!

This shopping area has tons of kitschy souvenir shops, every store is Bavarian themed on the outside (and many are Bavarian themed on the inside too).
Restaurant offering sandwiches, breakfast bowls, and veggie options.
This hike is not for the faint of heart, it's pretty steep with lots of switchbacks, but the bright green glacial lake it takes you to is incredibly breathtaking. For those who want to challenge themselves, consider chekcing this out. Be careful not to use the directions provided by Google Maps to get there - it can lead you to a mountain road that isn't passable and adds distance to the hike. See the trip reviews for more details.
Part of the Lake Serene Trail, Bridal Veil Falls is the first destination on the trail. It's 4 miles round trip and still 1K feet of elevation gain, so moderately steep, but you'll be rewarded with beautiful waterfall. Be advised the Lake Serene Trail is extremely popular, so mid-week or early morning visits are highly recommended. For those who really like a challenge, continue up the very steep & step-filled trail to Lake Serene, a very beautiful mountain lake backed by jagged peaks.
