The best way to get a true Palm Springs experience is by staying at an Airbnb with friends or family. It's a great way to guarantee some pool time with your people between wedding activities. Round up your crew and make a full weekend out of it!

Flight
PSP is by far the best option — it's right in central Palm Springs. If you fly into PSP, you don't need a car at all; Uber/Lyft will cover everything. Note: there are no direct flights from Indiana, but Chicago has direct service. Some routes are seasonal, so book early.
Flight
ONT is the second-best option. It's about 1–1.5 hours from Palm Springs in Ontario, CA (just outside LA). Uber/Lyft from ONT to Palm Springs would be pricey, so plan to rent a car. The only reason to choose ONT over PSP is if flights are significantly cheaper.
Flight
LAX is the third option and generally the least convenient — it's a 2–4+ hour drive from Palm Springs, depending on LA traffic. You'll need a car. That said, LAX may be worth it if you want a nonstop flight without layovers, or if fares are considerably lower.
