Ugh, COVID-19. Even if St. Louis officials ease social distancing measures by our intended date in mid-June, there's no guarantee a big wedding with 125-plus people will be allowed. More importantly, many of our guests are older or have health conditions that could put them at risk of getting very sick if they caught the new disease. We didn't want to force out-of-town friends to make difficult travel decisions if they're not comfortable flying or traveling. Some have been furloughed or have lost their jobs. It was best to hedge our bet and move to a later date when we could make sure everyone could celebrate without the cloud of a global pandemic hanging over the proceedings.
It will likely not be for at least another year. No one knows what the landscape will look like one, six or even 10 months from today. We will be sure to let everyone know through new save-the-dates and invitations once we have a new date pinned down! We are still committed to having our wedding in St. Louis, and we hope it can be at the same venue in Tower Grove Park.
