On your drive out to Shelter Island or if you have extra time over the weekend, there are many fabulous farm stands and wineries to stop at and stay for a visit. Our favorite farm stands are Pattys Berries and Bunches, Harbes Family Farm, Hallock's Cider Mill, Wickham's Fruit Farm, and of course Sylvester Manor Farm Stand on Shelter Island! In terms of North Fork wineries, we love the quaint and cozy Croteaux Vineyards, Bedell Cellars, and Rose Hill Vineyards.
We are hoping for an endless summer of great weather and there's no better way to soak up the island, than by laying out on the beach and catching some sun and relaxation. Some of our favorites are Shell Beach (for seclusion), Wades Beach (for families), and Crescent Beach (for sunsets).
As featured in GQ magazine, "on sleepy Shelter Island, Anthony Peronace runs a burgeoning fashion label from the most unlikely spot: the local grocery store." Stop by for your must-have Shelter Island merch and maybe some provisions for your AirBnB too.
A relaxing and easy-going tasting room and wine garden, this spot typically has live music on the weekends and a yummy cheese wagon out front, in case you need a snack. Come for the vibes mostly, and opt for the sangria or wine cocktail rather than committing to a bottle.
Shelter Island Country Club is a historic country club established in 1901 and hosts a nine-hole public golf course. Tee time reservations are not required, however you are welcome to contact the Pro Shop at 631-749-0416 to check tee time availability or if you have any questions.
