Matron of Honor
Megan and Kassidy met as Theta pledge sisters at the University of Kansas. They quickly bonded over their love of making new friends, sports and family. However, what really bonded these two were many late nights at Anschutz library studying for tests. Megan and Kassidy lived together for 3 years after college in Kansas City. Some of their best memories have been spent scream singing their favorite songs in the car or in each other’s living rooms.
Best Man
Joe is Matt’s twin brother. As little kids they did everything together, from sports to playing ping pong in the basement, to even learning Karate, although that was very short lived. Matt and Joe went to different colleges, but continued to stay close throughout. They both lived in KC for a few short years after college where they made memories getting dogs at the same time, watching sports and playing golf together.
Maid of Honor
Carter and Kassidy met as freshman roomies and pledge sisters at KU. They lived together 3/4 years. They have continued to stay close over they years by scheduling yearly trips to visit one another or meet somewhere fun. Carter and Kassidy spend these trips giggling about old memories and getting themselves into new shenanigans.
Best Man
Andrew is best known as the honorary Slickman triplet. He was born less than a month after the twins and grew up next door. Wherever Matt and Joe were, Andrew was too. Matt and Andrew went to KU for school and then lived together for three years in KC after graduation. They both love the Jayhawks and basketball. The amount of time these two have spent on a court, watching basketball, or talking about basketball is endless!
Bridesmaid
Karie is Matt’s older sister, but her and Kassidy became friends right away. Karie and Kassidy enjoy Bravo, rap songs from the early 2000’s and sampling fun new cocktails. Their best memories are at the pool or lake relaxing with family or playing games.
Groomsman
Kam is Kassidy’s older brother. Matt and Kameron have always gotten along, but became closer after a few rounds of golf and beers. They bond over bothering Kassidy with their dad jokes. Even though they cheer for different football teams, they both hate Tom Brady!
Bridesmaid
Olivia and Kassidy met at 5 years old as Wanda Gray Wildcats. Their principal must have known they would be trouble because they were never in the same class. They did however play softball together on the team Kassidy’s mom coached. Olivia and Kassidy became especially close in high school when they joined yearbook together. Even though they went to rival colleges, they have stayed close ever since.
Groomsman
Michael and Matt met in middle school at Indian Woods. They knew they would get along when they realized they both liked video games, Stephen King and had the same taste in music. They lived together during their senior year at KU and one year in KC after graduation.
Bridesmaid
Sam and Kassidy have been best friends for forever. Softball and Girl Scouts brought these two together. When Sam went to college in Spain and then Florida State, the two did not let distance pull them apart. They have continued to visit one another in Florida and KC or meet in their hometown around the holidays over the years. With both of them getting married in the spring they have loved seeing each other more this past year.
Groomsman
Matt and Danny met at Trailwood Elementary. Shortly after, Matt moved across the street and they became neighbors. They grew up going to Danny’s house to do science experiments and chores (against Matt’s will) and Matt’s house for watching movies and eating snacks. Although Danny lives in Alabama and Matt in Chicago, they remain connected through talking about all things nerdy.
Anna Frame, Cassie Gorby & Johanna Hecht
Kassidy met Anna, Cassie, and Johanna through joining Theta at KU. Along with Carter and Megan, the crew talks almost daily and have remained to be each others support system over the last decade.
Brian Carmody and Geoff Kerns
Matt met both Brian and Geoff through his mutual friend Andrew. Matt met Brian at KU and Geoff in high school. Now, they are all season ticket holders for the Chiefs, fans of Kelly’s in Westport, and avid golfers.
Officiant
Kyle is Kassidy’s oldest brother. Matt and Kassidy have always looked to Kyle for advice and direction. Not only has he always been a pillar of support for the two, but some of their favorite memories are spent playing games with family in Kyle’s basement.
