Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

RSVPs were due September 1st.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you received a plus one, your guest's name will be listed on your invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close family and friends!

Question

Is there a room block?

Answer

Yes at the Aloft in Downtown Sarasota. I have posted the link to book and additional information under the "Travel" section on this website. ROOMBLOCK IS FULL! But there is still rooms available at the Aloft if you want to stay there.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love kids, our wedding weekend events are adults only.

Question

How far is the Welcome Party from the hotels?

Answer

It is about 10-15 mins away from the Resort at Longboat Key Club and about 3-5 minutes from any of the downtown hotels and in walking distance.

Question

What should we wear to the Welcome Party?

Answer

It is casual! Nothing fancy. Shorts and Jeans are fine!

Question

What is the wedding day dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Men do not need to wear a tie but they can. Jackets are preferred for men, no jeans or shorts!! Women can wear any length dress, it may be windy so mid or full dresses might be best. Just because its fall women do not need to wear fall colors, it's Florida you can wear something colorful!!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The Ceremony starts at 4pm, meaning everyone will start walking down the isle at 4pm. Please try to arrive at 3:30pm.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

If you are staying at the Aloft where our room block is, transportation will pick you all up and bring you to the Resort at Longboat Key club and then back at the end of the night. If you are staying at another downtown hotel you are more than welcome to meet at the Aloft if you want transportation. The Trolleys will be leaving the aloft at 3:15 pm so please meet in the Lobby between 3-310pm

Question

How do we find the ceremony area?

Answer

You will put in 220 Sands Rd, Longboat Key, FL 34228 in your GPS and when you arrive you'll see a guard, tell them you're there for our wedding and you'll see signs to guide you or they will tell you!

Question

Are the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in the same place?

Answer

All 3 are at the Resort at the Longboat Key Club. The Ceremony and Cocktail hour are on the North Beach and the Reception is at the Harbourside which is down the road but don't worry we have transportation to take you down the street for the reception.

Question

Will someone be telling us where to go on wedding day?

Answer

Yes, our wedding planner / the resort wedding staff will be directing everyone. The cocktail hour will continue right next to the ceremony spot on the beach and then they will direct everyone to the transportation to take you to the reception! There will be signs when you arrive also.

Question

Should we wear shoes to the ceremony on the beach?

Answer

There will be a spot for you to leave your shoes before walking onto the sand! You will need your shoes for the reception which is on turf grass.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is free parking. When you arrive at the gate tell them you are here for the Pappas / Slaughenhaupt wedding.
