Matron of Honor
Marissa is Kaity’s older sister and has always been a role model to Kaity. Being 8 years older than Kaity, she started taking care of her from the beginning. She’s always been supportive of and will do anything to help set Kaity up for success. Kaity had the chance to stand beside Marissa on her big day and looks forward to having Marissa right by her side now that it’s her turn. Thankfully at this wedding Kaity won’t have braces and ill-advised highlights.
Best Man
From running around in the valley of Smoot Avenue to running the courts of Morgantown, Sidney has been a big brother through and through to Taylor. If you looked up big brother of the 90s in the dictionary, Sidney would be the accompanying picture; on one level, always provoking and on the other, always looking out, being a watchman over his little bro. Taylor was always “little Sid”, and that carried more weight than he will ever know.
Bridesmaid
Bekah and Kaity played softball for the Bobcats together at WVWC. Their dads became friends at the WV senior game before Bekah and Kaity had even met. They were van buddies and hotel roommates for their 4 years, becoming the grandmas of the team their senior year. Many memories were made that have allowed for their friendship to continue despite being many states apart.
Groomsman
Stephen “Steve-O” was Taylor’s college roommate. If you spend more than 5 minutes around them you may quickly find yourself lost in a maze of inside jokes. They suffered through many late nights in the books, which turned into early mornings spent talking, dreaming, cuttin up, and envisioning all the possibilities that God could establish in their lives.
Bridesmaid
Rachael is Kaity’s cousin. Opportunities to spend time together were limited while growing up, so Kaity is grateful that they’ve been able to foster a relationship together in adulthood. Kaity is so excited that Rachael is participating as a bridesmaid!
Groomsman
Jerry ll is Taylor’s cousin and has always maintained a cross-generational presence, having the utmost respect from elders and the love of the young generation. A lover of people and an advocate for grace, Jerry ll has become the ultimate host which is centered at his love to experience the blessings of life, family, and friends. Jerry, along with the rest of the Ferguson family branch, has played a pivotal role in Kaity and Taylor’s transition to Louisville.
Groomsman
Jameere is Taylor’s nephew and became the youngest member of the Uncle T fan club, regularly attending basketball events during Taylor’s high school and college years. Jameere has graduated from fan to baller, representing the third generation of Price hoopers. You may have thought “attached at the hip” or being someone’s “shadow” was a figure of speech until you could see his relationship with Kaity during his younger years. Among peers, Jameere is the life of the party and loves to bring people together.
Brother-in-law of the Bride
Chaz is Kaity’s brother-in-law and has been a part of Kaity’s life for over 15 years and has always been supportive. Not many brother-in-laws would open their home to their wife’s family to live, but Chaz did so willingly for Kaity for several months when she moved to Louisville. If you ever need a tour guide or to call a friend while playing “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”, Chaz is your guy. Chaz will be doing Kaity the honor of walking her down the aisle on the big day.
Flower Girl
Mariemma is Kaity’s niece and is so excited to be participating in her aunt’s wedding! She has been working on her dance moves for the reception. It is unclear who guests will be anticipating walking down the aisle more- Mariemma or Kaity.
Ring Bearer
Officiant
Kaity and Taylor met Pastor Ed during their time at WV Wesleyan. Actually, Kaity and Taylor were introduced at CFC, where Paster Ed and his wife Janet welcomed many Wesleyan students. The McDaniels have exemplified the virtues of marriage, family, and community. Pastor Ed has been hoping the opportunity to officiate this wedding would come and Kaity and Taylor are so glad he’s making the trip to Louisville to make it happen!
