Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Skyler Stewart and John Beebe-Center
We are so excited for you all to join us in one of our very favorite places!! While many of you have likely visited the beautiful state of Maine before, we have heard that a good handful of attendees have not! With Portland, ME being just 28 minutes from our venue and 13 minutes away from the preferred hotels, we have put together a list of list of some of our favorite spots we've collected after traveling to the area multiple times each year for the last 5 years... Fun fact: Portland is where "I love you's" were first exchanged :)

Scales

68 Commercial Street, Portland, ME 04101

If you're looking for a great (albeit, pricey) seafood dinner on Portland's waterfront-- look no further. Scales is one of our favorites for a really good meal for a special occasion.

Boone's Fish House & Oyster Room

86 Commercial Street, Portland, ME 04101

Another favorite restaurant of our's-- amazing food & views, and better prices. Would highly recommend trying out their brunch & lobster rolls

Rí Rá Irish Pub & Restaurant

72 Commercial Street, Portland, ME 04101

For those of you that like a good old Irish pub -- Ri Ra is that girl. Huge place with all your favorite drinks-- great place to end the night at as this one is open pretty late...

Old Port Sea Grill & Raw Bar

93 Commercial Street, Portland, ME 04101

Another great place with great seafood-- what makes this place stand out is how notably it is never jam packed. I'd still make a reservation, but you will never be sitting right on top of another table. The food is delicious, and they have a pretty cool aquarium inside (for décor purposes... the fish they serve is from the sea, lol)

Shipyard Brewing Company

86 Newbury Street, Portland, ME 04101

A classic... if you like breweries, Pumpkin head, or just like trying different ranges of beers next to a really neat gift store, you will love this place. Definitely a staple to visit during your time in Portland While Shipyard is the big name that most people would recognize... it is definitely not the only brewery Portland has to offer. Our favorite smaller breweries include Lone Pine Brewing, Bissell Brothers, The Thirsty Pig, Allagash, Brickyard Hollow Brewing, Gritty McDuff's Brew Pub

Bar of Chocolate

38 Wharf Street, Portland, ME 04101

Wharf street is one of the more bustling areas of downtown Portland with a lot to do... but if you like a good, sweet martini or even just fun drinks... this is the place for you. Their chocolate martinis are perfection. John also tried the absinthe that they serve there too and lived to tell the tale so....
