If you're looking for a great (albeit, pricey) seafood dinner on Portland's waterfront-- look no further. Scales is one of our favorites for a really good meal for a special occasion.
Another favorite restaurant of our's-- amazing food & views, and better prices. Would highly recommend trying out their brunch & lobster rolls
For those of you that like a good old Irish pub -- Ri Ra is that girl. Huge place with all your favorite drinks-- great place to end the night at as this one is open pretty late...
Another great place with great seafood-- what makes this place stand out is how notably it is never jam packed. I'd still make a reservation, but you will never be sitting right on top of another table. The food is delicious, and they have a pretty cool aquarium inside (for décor purposes... the fish they serve is from the sea, lol)
A classic... if you like breweries, Pumpkin head, or just like trying different ranges of beers next to a really neat gift store, you will love this place. Definitely a staple to visit during your time in Portland While Shipyard is the big name that most people would recognize... it is definitely not the only brewery Portland has to offer. Our favorite smaller breweries include Lone Pine Brewing, Bissell Brothers, The Thirsty Pig, Allagash, Brickyard Hollow Brewing, Gritty McDuff's Brew Pub
Wharf street is one of the more bustling areas of downtown Portland with a lot to do... but if you like a good, sweet martini or even just fun drinks... this is the place for you. Their chocolate martinis are perfection. John also tried the absinthe that they serve there too and lived to tell the tale so....
