Question

Are There Any Colors We Should Avoid Wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that out of respect for the couple, avoid wearing colors that are traditionally reserved for the bride- including whites/ivories/creams, anything that would photograph to look those colors. Also, because I always wondered when invited to other weddings: there is no formal wedding party, so no need to worry about accidentally matching bridesmaids/groomsmen :)

Question

Can I Bring a Guest/Date?

Answer

The formal invitation you receive will be made out to "(Your Name) & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you. We unfortunately cannot accommodate any guests who are not specifically listed on invites with seating, meals, etc. It is not recommended to attend the event unless invited.

Question

Can I Bring My Kids/Are Kids Invited?

Answer

We want all of our guests to have a safe, fun, and worry-free environment for our wedding. That said, we are electing to have a completely child free wedding, as our venue and plans are not appropriate or suitable for children of any age. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Will Transportation Be Provided?

Answer

Yes! Transportation via Bus will be provided from the Courtyard Marriott Portland Airport to the wedding venue. The bus will pick guests up at 3:30 (please be sure to be there if you are utilizing this as they are scheduled to leave on time!) We will have two buses picking up from the wedding venue to transport guests back to the Courtyard for the afterparty at 10pm. The buses will be going directly there and making no other stops.

Question

What Happens If I Don't RSVP in Time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date we have provided, it will be marked as a "no". We will miss you celebrating with us- however, we do have a strict deadline for total guest counts that are set by our venue and contracted vendors without any exceptions. If you have any questions relating to the RSVP process, please reach out in advance of the due date and we will be happy to help

Question

What If We Are Not Utilizing the Provided Transportation?

Answer

While it is highly recommended to take the transportation that we have organized (especially if you plan to consume alcohol at the event), it is totally fine to arrive to the venue on your own! There is plenty of parking at the venue, and Ubers are also easy to come by in the area surrounding both the hotel & venue. If you do choose to find your own way there, please be mindful to arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony, as to avoid interruptions during the event :)

Question

Can I Take Pictures?

Answer

We would looove to see all your getting ready pictures that we missed while we were preparing for the event! We do have a wonderful photographer for the ceremony & reception introductions that we want to have the spotlight, so we kindly ask that you keep those times "unplugged"

Question

Is there anything we can do as guests to prepare?

Answer

No preparations are needed as guests! We are hoping to make a memorable, fun event for all! If you want to take your experience to the next level, we may suggest brushing up on your knowledge of "September- Earth, Wind, & Fire" & also some Taylor Swift as those will be played substantially throughout the night ;)
