He’s my little brother, my built-in best friend, and one of the most trustworthy people I know. From growing up hunting together to being the first person to show up whenever I need help, Alec has always been there for me. Tori has been my best friend since the first day of 7th grade. We’ve shared every season of life—laughing, crying, and even arguing along the way—and somehow, the distance over the years has only made our bond stronger. She’s my book-loving partner-in-crime (the one who gets my obsession with reading like no one else), the person who truly knows me, and I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this next adventure.

Travis and I met in prison, and he’s been one of my best friends ever since. He’s the definition of reliable—my hunting buddy, partner-in-crime, and the person I somehow always get into trouble with. Some of our best memories include sitting in the W building eating steak, talking hunting plans, and getting paid to do it… back when we worked together as COs. He’s always there with steady moral support, even if fishing with him pretty much guarantees that no one catches anything.

I met Shell through Livvy, and she quickly became so much more than a friend—she’s my roommate, my dog’s co-parent, and my chosen family. Life together includes paddle boarding, beach days, and countless adventures with Aspen and her son, Antonio. Shell is fiercely loyal, endlessly energetic, and always the one who pushes me forward when I need it most.

Phil and I met back in 2011 while working together at the UD Ice Arena, and he’s been one of my closest friends ever since. A true fishaholic, you can almost always find him out on the water. We’ve made a tradition of taking a yearly trip to the Outer Banks, camping on a remote island and fishing nonstop, with plenty of debate over who’s actually the better fisherman (it’s me). He’s always there with solid advice from someone who’s probably already been through it.

Emma, Alyssa, and I all met at a past job, and she’s 1/3 of our bestie gang. Whether we’re brunching on a girls’ night or just hhanging out at home, Emma is always a calming presence and the friend I can share even the craziest ideas with—and she never flinches. I can’t wait to see her bring that same joy and grace down the aisle as one of my Flower Girls, making this little dream of mine come true!

From waking up ridiculously early to grab the last copy of my favorite book in a series to her spontaneous antics that leave me laughing (like skipping through a train station), Alyssa always brings energy, joy, and laughter wherever she goes. I can’t wait to see her bringing that same fun spirit down the aisle as one of my Flower Girls!
