FAQs

Question

1. What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for Saturday is Smart / Dressy Casual — think nice dresses, skirts, dressy tops, collared shirts and smart trousers. No need for full suits or ties. Our wedding colors are sage/olive green and soft beiges, and guests are more than welcome to wear those tones if they want to match the aesthetic — but it’s completely optional. Most importantly, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and fabulous!

Question

2. Do I need to book accommodation in advance?

Answer

Yes, especially if you plan on staying on Dunkeld Estate. We’ve already made block bookings, but guests will need to pay their own accommodation fees. Please also see the Accommodation tab on the website for full details and pricing.

Question

3. Can children attend the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, no — this will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this allows everyone to relax and enjoy the day with us!

Question

4. Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Yes! Guests are absolutely welcome to bring a plus-one. Just please include their name when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Question

5. What time should guests arrive?

Answer

Please arrive by 3:00 PM so you have plenty of time to get settled before the ceremony begins at 3:30 PM.

Question

6. Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We absolutely welcome you to capture memories! We just ask that you be mindful of our professional photographer and try to stay discreet. Feel free to take pictures quietly, but let’s let the professional get those key shots. Thanks for helping us keep the moment special!

Question

7. When and where is the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will be on 2 May 2026 at Dunkeld Country & Equestrian Estate, Dullstroom.

Question

8. Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

At the Wedding: There will be a light meal served during the cocktail hour after the ceremony, with champagne and a bottle of wine and juice on each table (supplied). Dinner, drinks, and desserts will follow at the reception to continue the celebration, and thereafter guests are welcome to make use of the cash bar. Rest of the Weekend: There is a restaurant on the premises, as well as many wonderful restaurants in and around Dullstroom. The accommodation is self-catering, so you are also welcome to bring your own food.

Question

9. What should I know about the weather and venue?

Answer

Our wedding will be outdoors at Dunkeld Country & Equestrian Estate in Dullstroom. In May, the weather can be chilly, so we recommend bringing a jacket or shawl to stay comfortable. Also, comfortable shoes are a good idea for walking around the estate.
