Schenectady, New York

Schenectady, New York

Schenectady, NY 12305

Take a short drive over to Emma’s hometown and enjoy some time in Schenectady! We recommend walking around the Stockade. This area was founded by Dutch merchants in 1661 and still has over 40 historical homes. In the stockade, be sure to pop into Arthur’s Market for a coffee and treat. For a bite to eat, we recommend Mike’s hot dogs (cash only), Perecca’s for pizza and Villa Italia for a treat. For shopping, we recommend walking around Jay Street. For a quick stroll, we also recommend Union College and the General Electric Realty Plot.

Saratoga Springs

Saratoga Springs

Saratoga Springs, NY

Take a 30-minute drive up the thruway to Saratoga Springs, NY! When Max first visited Emma in 2018, she brought Max to Saratoga to enjoy a picnic in Congress Park, try the natural spring water and walk Broadway. For a bite to eat, we recommend Uncommon Grounds Coffee & Bagels or Hattie’s. For shopping, stick to Broadway. For a walk, we recommend Congress Park, Skidmore College and Saratoga Spa State Park. And of course, we recommend trying the natural spring water! Overall, Saratoga Springs is the perfect little day trip when you’re in the area!
