We originally met as campers at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin. But no, this isn't one of those super-cute stories of dating from when you're 15 and then getting married 15 years later. We probably never had a one-on-one conversation, but we knew who the other was. Over the years we would see each other at various events and make small talk. In the fall of 2019 Eliana moved to Chicago and Aaron was living with a good friend of hers. They developed a friendship and would see each other frequently. Once the pandemic hit there was no more Shabbat meals to see each other at, but they were in the same book club that met regularly on Zoom. They would message back and forth and would text in between. It was at that point Aaron decided to ask Eliana for a Shabbat walk on the lake. They walked and talked for 2 hours and continued to make plans to walk on the lake every week. Eventually, the quarantine pod was established and Eliana took Aaron up on his offer to have dinner in his apartment, watch a movie, and the rest is history.
