We're all just trying to figure out our lives in a pandemic, but we feel we need to continue to move forward despite the current viral climate. With that said, understand that we have invited guests that mean the most to us! California remains closed so we have decided to move across state lines to Nevada. The good news is Nevada will be completely open by the wedding which means everyone can come! Expect to wear a mask at some points and socially distance, but don't expect that to change the celebration! As of now, 70% of our total guests have been vaccinated and there will be more to come! However, we understand if you are hesitant to travel and congregate with a larger group. While we would love to celebrate with everyone, we do recognize this single stranded virus is scary and you may feel safer at home. We love you nonetheless! The weather can be quite unpredictable so we recommend you pack for cooler weather. While we do not expect it to snow, it is not outside the realm of possibilities. We're crossing our fingers for 60° and sunny, but we recommend a sweater or jacket in case Lake Tahoe chooses to drop the temperature or add a wind chill. Don't worry though, we'll only be outside for the ceremony and we promise to make it quick!
There are a plethora of airbnb's and vrbo's in the area and very close to our venue! We encourage everyone to find the best place for them, but we cannot guarantee transportation from your rental nor can we ensure Uber, Lyft, or taxis will be available for each event. Please plan accordingly!
We encourage both! But if you forget to pop that response card in the mail, no problem if you RSVP'd online! Just know that if you plan to attend, you'll need to select your food options, otherwise, we choose for you...
Aren't we happy you asked! Elizabeth grew up going to Lake Tahoe to her family cabin which has been in the family since 1960. The moment she met Jonathan, she wanted nothing more than to whisk him away to Tahoe to show him the magic of the lake. Within a day of experiencing the magic himself, Jonathan proposed, so we'd say it's a pretty fabulous destination. Lake Tahoe was Elizabeth's dream wedding destination. They celebrated their engagement for the first time with a lakeside view, enjoying dinner and a bottle of champagne. Somehow they made the magic happen and the dream of first time wedded bliss is coming true in beautiful Lake Tahoe.
