Belle Isle State Park is in Virginia's "northern neck," situated between the Rappanahock River and the Chesapeake Bay. Because it is a state park, it is rurally situated and somewhat far from accomodations. For guests flying in, we recommend renting a car to get to the venue. Please contact the bride if any practical issues arise here. Toll roads are common in this area, so if you do not have an EZ Pass on your car, make sure to set your GPS app to "no tolls" to avoid fees.
Bel Air Mansion sits on its own peninsula within the park. Immediately after entering Belle Isle State Park on Belle Isle Road, turn left onto Bel Air Road. At the end of Bel Air Road, you will find a parking lot where you are welcome to park. The mansion is right behind the parking lot, with a white picket fence in front.
