Things To Do
To spice up the long drive, take route 3 between Fredericksburg and the venue. This will allow you to drive past George Washington's birthplace, as well as his childhood farm (Ferry Farm, where he cut down a cherry tree and couldn't lie about it). This will only add about 10 minutes to your drive time if you are commuting from DC, or anywhere else north of the venue.
Since the venue is a state park, there will be kayaks, bikes, walking trails, firepits and grills available for free.
