It started with a swipe and shared desserts at Veniero's Bakery. Daniella was late. Dave was precisely on time. Dave made jokes. Daniella laughed a lot. We had such a good time, they refused to bring us the check. And that's how our relationship started. A sign of even happier moments in the future.

Dave hatched a plan that would include a few key themes. Long walks on the waterfront overlooking beautiful city scenery had been the backdrop to their love story, and Dave wanted that to be the setting in which he committed to her. Dave felt good about his chances of a "yes", but he knew that the involvement of their beloved pup Dexter would seal the deal. Dave engaged in a lengthy photoshoot with Dexter that would make Annie Leibowitz proud, eventually capturing a photo of Dexter announcing their engagement that Daniella couldn't say no to. On the night of the proposal (with assistance from MOH Alex Vecchio), this photo would be placed in, yes, a Veniero's box, the bakery where their journey began. Daniella would encounter this box in one of their favorite hangouts on the Jersey City waterfront, and the rest would be history. Dave's plan was executed to perfection, culminating in a surprised and ecstatic fiance.
