Verona Airport

Verona Airport (VRN) is the easiest to access from Valeggio sul Mincio and the surrounding areas. However, if you were to hire a car, then Milan - Bergamo (BGY), Venice (VCE), Bologna (BLQ) are also options, between 1h and 2h away. Verona is only 15 minutes care ride to Valeggio sul Mincio, and both EasyJet and British Airways fly there.

Given Valeggio is quite small, you may wish to hire a car to get about and see a few different places. Like at any airport, there are several options available in Verona, including some of the more widely known ones, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt and others.

Valeggio sul Mincio

For many smaller/boutique apartments, there are a number of individual places listed on the Valeggio sul Mincio tourism website that look great. Please bear in mind that not all have parking slots allocated (especially if in Borghetto), so please do investigate first before booking if parking is a requirement. You can find some nice options on this page but please search online for more ideas. This area is very popular with tourists from Spring onwards, so we recommend booking as soon as possible. Please give us a shout if you have any questions.

This is an adults only hotel located in Borghetto, a medieval village just on the outskirts of Valeggio. It's in a lovely spot on the river, and you would be able to walk most places around Valeggio from here.

Il Balcone sul Mincio

This is a small, rustic hotel with a few rooms located in Borghetto. It is in a perfect spot - one that we have walked passed many, many times and commented on how cute it looks right on the river!

I Filari

This is an agriturismo (a sort of B&B in the countryside where they grow the food they provide) that's a little out of town, so may need to be mindful of hiring a car if you choose to stay here.

Similar to the Valeggio tourism site we mention above, this site is dedicated to accommodation in Borghetto so might provide some further optionality as well. Borghetto is this beautiful medieval village on the river, picture perfect, so typically would be slightly more expensive than Valeggio.
