Sagan Ceremony

The wedding week begins with a welcome party! During a Sagan, the groom's family gives gifts to the bride, and the bride will then be given a "Dupatta" to wear, which is a long scarf. Afterwards, it will be a day of dancing! Men Attire: Formal Women Attire: Indian outfit or a dress with no cleavage and length below knees

Mehndi (Henna)

10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Today's function will be for all the women! Henna artists will be at the house to do henna for anyone who wishes to get their hands inked up! No formal attire necessary, but keep in mind there will still be a lot of locals around so please wear something that does not show too much cleavage and no shorts.

Jaggo Ceremony

This is the "Wake up" ceremony, where the bride's family will come over to the house and we will be drinking and dancing up and down the street! This is considered the second party of the wedding week. Men's attire: Vibrant colors, semi formal Women's attire: Indian outfit or a dress/gown with minimal cleavage and length below knees.

Maiyan

12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

During the Maiyan, the family rubs yellow turmeric paste upon mylegs, face, and arms while I sit on a patri (a special red board with embroidery) below a red cloth held by four family members. This is done to cleanse and balance the body for married life. No formal attire necessary, but keep in mind there will still be a lot of locals around so please wear something that does not show too much cleavage and no shorts.

Wedding

8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Wedding Day! First we will be meeting at the house to begin the ceremony. After the house ceremony is complete, then we will travel to the city where the wedding will begin. It is an about an hour drive away from the house. After the wedding, there will be a lunch reception hosted by Karmbir's family. After the reception, we will travel back to the house and unwind! This is considered the 3rd party of the wedding week. Men Attire: Formal or an Indian outfit *Kurta* Women Attire: Indian outfit only *Indian Suit *Lehnga* *Sahree* (I would not reccomend Sahree because the women in my family dont wear them and if youre having trouble putting it on, there wont be anyone to help you)

Reception
