It is a 5-minute walk to Hotel Captain Cook, and a 9-minute walk to 49th State Brewing. This hotel is a 3-minute walk from Fire Island Rustic Bakeshop. They also have great coffee next door at That Feeling Co.

Hotel Captain Cook

This hotel is where our reception will be held on June 20th, 2026. It is in the heart of downtown Anchorage. A 6-minute walk to the rehearsal dinner/welcome party venue at 49th State Brewing. We were not able to secure a large block of rooms at this time. We have been in contact with the hotel sales team, and they are going to add rooms under our reservation as they become available after January. Our block rate is $399 a night for a deluxe room (2 queen beds) from 6/18-6/22. We're unsure how many rooms will become available at this hotel. We have secured the secondary hotel block at the Marriott Downtown to accommodate all our guests. Other notes about Hotel Captain Cook: We will be shuttling people to and from the ceremony site, and the shuttles will depart from/arrive at Hotel Captain Cook. There are 5 different food/beverage options within Hotel Captain Cook. Check out https://captaincook.com/dining/ for more information. The Crows Nest, located on the top floor of the hotel, is one of our favorite restaurants in Anchorage.

Hilton Anchorage

This hotel is a 2-minute walk from Hotel Captain Cook, where the reception will be held. It is a 1-minute walk to the rehearsal dinner/welcome party at 49th State Brewing. This hotel is also completely booked by touring companies at this time. We may see more room availability posted in the wintertime. Although it is a great location, you may want to be cautious when booking a room here. The rooms are dated for the price point they charge, and there are recent poor reviews online.

The Voyager Inn

This hotel is right next door to Hotel Captain Cook and an 8-minute walk to 49th State Brewing. It is seemingly more affordable. It is a smaller hotel. Less than 40 rooms, but nice accommodations. They are already sold out for 6/18 and 6/19 (checked on 10/16/25).

Copper Whale Inn

This cozy Inn is situated in a prime location near the coast. It has views of Cook Inlet and the Alaska Range. It is a 3-minute walk to Hotel Captain Cook and a 9-minute walk to 49th State Brewing.

The Westmark Hotel is a centrally located hotel option downtown. This hotel is about a 4-minute walk from Hotel Captain Cook and from 49th State Brewing.

Small, locally owned, non-traditional hotel. The Highliner Hotel is a 7-minute walk to Hotel Captain Cook and about 14 minutes to 49th State Brewing.

This charming hotel is centrally located downtown. About an 8-minute walk to Hotel Captain Cook. It is right by the Hilton, so only a few blocks away from 49th State Brewing, our rehearsal dinner/welcome party venue. It's just one block away from the best bar in Anchorage: F Street Station!

Snob Hollow Inn

Snob Hollow is a small boutique hotel, just minutes away from the heart of downtown Anchorage. It is an 8-minute walk to Hotel Captain Cook and a 5-minute walk to 49th State Brewing.

Clarioin Suites is another hotel option downtown. It has a nice view of Delaney Park. This hotel is about an 8-minute walk to Hotel Captain Cook and 14 minutes to 49th State Brewing.

The Wildbirch Hotel - JDV by Hyatt

The Wildbirch Hotel is a 12-minute walk from Hotel Captain Cook and an 8-minute walk to 49th State Brewing. This hotel is newly renovated with an upscale "urban wild" design. It has the Canteen Coffee shop and the Crimson bar/restaurant located off the lobby. Although it's a little farther of a walk, it seems like a great option for an enjoyable stay in Anchorage.

Four Points by Sheraton Anchorage Downtown

This hotel is a 13-minute walk from Hotel Captain Cook and from 49th State Brewing. It's a little bit farther of a walk, or a quick Uber ride away from all the action!

This is a nice hotel, located a little further out on the outskirts of downtown. It would be an 18-minute walk from 49th State Brewing and Hotel Captain Cook. This hotel may be a good option if you decide to rent a car for your trip, or if you don't mind taking Uber/Lyft.
