Romania. The United States. Sure, it sounds like the setting for one of the Rocky movies, but for us, it's about where we come from and where we are going. We still find it awe-inspiring that our lives began in two very different places, and, yet, we have been placed on convergent paths, bringing us to a life together. We're so happy to invite you to our wedding - the joining of apple pie and sarmale, metaphorically - and to our first steps on this life together.
While waiting for his mystery date to arrive, Bob had, at this point, tried roughly thirteen different seating and leg-crossing combinations, facing the front entrance to ensure that he conveyed the right level of aloofness and sophistication. Quickly checking the clock on his phone, he stretched back, pretending to admire the paintings on the wall (were they paintings if they are technically bolted to the wall?) and, again, appear aloof. That was the primary emotion he was trying to convey - aloof. Has that been made clear? "Hi! Are you Bob?" a voice came from BEHIND him. Not coming through the front doorway to admire his casual aloofness, but behind him, probably wondering, "Gosh, why is he sitting like that? He doesn't look nearly aloof enough." Bob spun himself in the other direction as cool as he could, like John Wayne on a barstool covered in Crisco, and uttered the most awe-inspiring first words one could utter on a first date, "Oh, hey, uh, I didn't know there was a door back there." The fact that Georgeta sat down was enough to impress Bob, and then she started talking, and then he was pretty much sold.
