“Let’s Get Married!”

As with many modern day love stories, our first encounter was over a romantic candlelit social media DM lol! Having never met before, X-Avier boldly slid into my DMs sometime in early September of 2021. Unfortunately, neither of us can remember the actual date we officially “met”, but we like to assume it was September 2nd…one month before we made it official!

It only took about two weeks for me to complete a full “investigation” and agree to give X-Avier my number…well kinda (he gave me his number and I agreed to text him first lol)! Having only chatted via text for approximately 12 hours, he asked if I’d like to get Mexican food (one of my favorites), THAT DAY! Though it caught me off guard, in true Raven fashion I threw on some clothes, shared my location with a friend (just in case), and headed to Casa Mexicana! In even truer Raven fashion, I left my phone at home, had to go all the way back to my apartment to retrieve said phone…and ended up being about 30 minutes late to our first date hahaha. Much to my surprise, he was still there waiting patiently for my arrival, and only managed to get one drop of salsa on his shirt! After an hour of great conversation, we ended the evening with an awkward first date trip to Target where I bought us matching candles in my favorite scent… cheesy but cute, I know!
