Michaela Scott-Williams

Matron of Honor

La-Teisha & Michaela met at Broward College in FL 2008 in a math class. During that time Miami carnival was happening & being that they both are from the Caribbean it was easy for them to start a conversation about the current event happening. A few weeks later after the class ended Michaela found La-Teisha on Facebook & connected with her. They exchanged numbers & began talking frequently and as time went by they became best of friends. Michaela has been there for La-Teisha through it all and it is her greatest Honor to have her as the Matron of Honor.

Verina Ferris

Bridesmaid

Verina & La-Teisha went to high school together, they weren't close then, but their closeness developed while in college living in different states. Verina is the type of friend that will pray for you, give it like it is, wants nothing but the best & happiness for you. The type of Friendship La-Teisha cherishes dearly. One thing La-Teisha loves about her is that she is guaranteed to make you laugh even if it’s talking over the phone. In March 2015 they were at a high school friend's wedding together (that’s them in the photo at the wedding) when La-Teisha met Raymond. Verina was there through the entire development of the relationship that night, & La-Teisha knew he was a great catch sharing the same birthdate w/ Verina. She wouldn’t have this special day without Verina by her side.

Vanessa Bollers

Bridesmaid

Vanessa is La-Teisha’s oldest friendship of her lifetime. They met around age 6 or 7 while at St Gabriel’s elementary school in GT. La-Teisha always spoke about Vanessa at home, so her grandma got to know Vanessa’s grandma, so she was allowed to have sleepovers at Vanessa’s home a few times. One of La-Teisha’s most vivid memories, was watching MARY POPPINGS on vhs tape w/ Vanessa at her grandma’s house. It was actually the last movie they watched together the night before Vanessa moved to the US. After Vanessa moved away she called La-Teisha once & that was the last time they spoke as young girls. La-Teisha searched many times for Vanessa on FB but was unsuccessful. Until 1 night in 2015 while she was on her way to Colorado to visit Raymond she finally found her on FB and they reconnected.

Daina Barnes

Bridesmaid

Daina and La-Teisha were neighbors back in Antigua. As they grew older they became more like sisters. When La-Teisha’s mom went away for a short time for school, Diana’s mom quickly stepped in as a second mom to her. They shared many great times together and despite the fact that La-Teisha moved away after high school and they are in separate countries that sisterhood bond has never broken. She has never fascinated about a wedding as a young girl, but since in high school she told her mom that If she was to ever get married Daina had to be a part of her big day and sing at her wedding. She is happy to have this desire come through.

Sicole Durant

Bridesmaid

Sicole is La-Teisha’s aunt Rhonda’s sister. They first met a few years ago through Facebook then shortly after in person at Rhonda’s home in Florida. They immediately clicked as though they had known each other for a lifetime. Needless to say, like happy memories, good friends grow more and more precious with passing time. And so, did they. They have been there for each other throughout life’s up and downs, spending hours (and I mean hours) on the phone and sharing many memorable moments together. They have helped each other to grow and be grounded as women and picks the other up whenever one has fallen off the wagon. La-Teisha is happy to embark this new life journey with her by her side.

Julie Moize

Bridesmaid

La-Teisha worked for Julie and during that time her family became La-Teisha’s family. And they treated her as such. One thing La-Teisha admires about Julie is her loving, caring, gentle, energetic spirit. She aspires to me more like her on a daily basis. They say friendship isn’t about who you have known the longest, it’s about who have walked in your life, and is there for you in many ways. Julie has often proven that, always willing to help La-Teisha in any way she can. They are both always a listening ear for each other. La-Teisha is most excited to share this moment with her.
