Its Happening!!!! We are jumping the BROOM!

Raymond and La-Teisha met at a mutual friend's (that they both went to high school with) wedding in Maryland back in 2015. During the cocktail hour at the wedding, La-Teisha and her friend Verina decided to step outside for some fresh air. During that time Raymond was with his twin brother and cousins chatting. Raymond saw La-Teisha and Verina standing around and decided to ask them if they were friends with the bride or the groom. That was the gateway for the conversations between La-Teisha and Raymond. The bell rang for everyone to head inside, so Verina and La-Teisha quickly went to get their name tags to see what table they were seated at, so they could be seated. As they got seated, La-Teisha looked up and Raymond, his twin and cousins sat down at their table as well. La-Teisha was flabbergasted that he was actually sitting beside her. As destiny would have it :). They conversed throughout the night and before you knew it exchanged numbers, danced, took pictures and enjoyed the wedding reception. Before La-Teisha knew it, it was time to head back to NYC. She was saddened by leaving after enjoying Raymond's company. Raymond quickly rearranged his plans to head to NYC. La-Teisha and Raymond knew from that night that they were meant to be together. Even though they lived in different states they figured out a way to make it work. After being in a long-distance relationship for a few months the moved to North Carolina together where they have been living since.

Raymond was trying to get La-Teisha's mom in town for the holidays, so he could have proposed in her presence, but was unsuccessful due to her prior arrangements. La-Teisha had been talking about getting a puppy, so Raymond quickly reverted to plan B and got La-Teisha a puppy for Christmas (Madison) and he proposed to her the night of Christmas in their home's living room. Even though his original plan didn’t fall in place it was still perfect in every way.
