Matron of Honor
Maggie is my cousin and oldest friend! We've grown up together and there are approximately 34,978 photos of us from age 0 to now, with varying levels of embarrassment. While we've long since given up trying to escape the "cousin's" table at holidays, we'll still pass the olives and double up on orzo.
Best Man
In many ways, Michael and I grew up together, and ever since winning a little league championship we've been tight. An F1 expert and always ready to recommend a book or podcast, Michael is one of the most genuine people you'll encounter and has always been in my corner. He is my best man for a reason.
Bridesmaid
When my brother, Drew, married Dana, I felt like I won the jackpot. Dana is exceptionally thoughtful and I always look forward to spending time together when we're back in town. She makes a mean charcuterie board and is the most wonderful mother to my nephew, Lane.
Groomsman
A fellow Arabic-speaker and Middle East scholar, Evan and I experienced a revolution together in Egypt. Since then, we've enjoyed delicious meals and even better conversations in DC. A trusted sounding board and someone who exudes a "calm cool," Evan is the closest thing to a big brother I've ever had.
Bridesmaid
During high school, I think I spent more waking hours at Maddie's house than my own. On Friday nights, you could frequently find us eating ice cream in the back of Maddie's mom's minivan in the Friendly's parking lot. Yeah, we were that kind of cool. Although we're a long way from high school, one thing that hasn't changed is that comfort and ease of an old friendship.
Groomswoman
One of my very first friends at Duke, Sarah simply makes any occasion better. In addition to having a wonderful sense of humor, Sarah is always up for anything and introduced me to the best french toast I've had in my life in a New Jersey diner. Over the years, we've shared so much laughter.
Bridesmaid
Fellow lover of cooking and travel, Cami and I became fast friends as roommates at Duke. Whether sneaking out to salsa in Costa Rica, carrying a paper mache rooster hat back from Haiti, or sitting on the floor making dolmas, we always seem to have adventures together. She's been a constant source of support from wherever in the world she is!
Groomsman
Whether fencing together at Duke, parasailing on the Red Sea, or reconnecting with Frances at his wedding in DC, Jonathan has been in my life for some time and I wouldn't have it any other way. An amazing storyteller, skilled mojito-maker, and even better friend, he is at the center of many fond memories.
Bridesmaid
Lindsay and I lived together our senior year at Duke and she quickly became a "forever" friend. Whether cheering on the Blue Devils, exploring NYC theater together, or having one of our infamously long phone catch ups, I always come back from talking with Lindsay with my cheeks hurting from laughing.
Groomsman
The only one in my wedding party that I would trust with my life in the wilderness without a compass, Taylor climbed down a mountain with me in the snow in the Sinai. Easy going and sincere, Taylor fenced with me in high school and this wedding will finally bring him back to the east coast from California.
Bridesmaid
Katherine and I got to know each other through our graduate program and hiking in the beautiful Cascade mountains of Washington State. Always one to search for sparks of joy, Katherine frequently stops to appreciate wildflowers and to forage edible flora. Katherine is a curious listener and exceptionally thoughtful friend.
Groomsman
A world traveler, college roommate, and fellow fencer, David is one of the most adventurous people I know. At Duke, we assembled a ping pong table in our tiny apartment not for beer pong, but to play competitive matches. Quick to laugh and a joy to be around, David is the only engineer I count as a close friend.
Bridesmaid
Julie and I first met during orientation for grad school. I didn't know then that our friendship would take me literally down rivers and up mountains. Our weekly chats at the climbing gym single handedly got me through my last year of grad school. Julie is exceptionally kind, and always knows where to find the best chocolate cake around.
Groomsman
A former neighbor, fire pit master, and IPA aficionado, Spencer is one of the people I kick it with most in Connecticut. Whether enjoying weekly dinners, tackling an array of escape rooms, or losing to a mom-daughter duo in a cornhole fundraiser, we've had some fun times since I returned to the "Constitution State."
Bridesmaid
Forged in friendship by long firepits in the dead of winter (thanks Covid), Genevieve is basically my family in Connecticut. Powered by iced coffee and iced tea, Genevieve is a formidable force at the board game table. You're not allowed to move so long as we're here!
