Question

Why are you having a closed ceremony?

Answer

We decided to hold an intimate ceremony in Central Park. Unfortunately, due to park permitting rules, we can only have a limited number of guests, standing room only. We know that this may feel like an unusual choice, and will not be offended if you choose not to make the trip to only attend the celebration, though we would miss your presence.

Question

Is the Celebration the same thing as a reception?

Answer

Partially! We opted to go a less traditional route for our wedding. We won't be doing plated meals, speeches, first dances, etc. Instead, we will just party together, eat good food, have some drinks, and enjoy the night!

Question

Will there be food & drinks at the Celebration?

Answer

We will not be providing a sit-down dinner. However, we will provide plenty of small bites and an open bar (including non-alcoholic options). At the After Party, we will be ordering bottle service to reserve space at a NYC speakeasy. We may offer 1-2 bottles depending on group size. All other drink purchases will be non-hosted.

Question

Is there a wedding party?

Answer

Kind of! We will only have a Maid of Honor and Best Man as the ceremony will be kept intimate.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Garden Attire / Cocktail Attire. Generally, this means cocktail/garden party dresses, light suits, sport coats, tie optional, etc. Please remember, it's May in New York, so it could get a little chilly at night.

Question

What's the plan for rain?

Answer

The Celebration is being held indoors and will not be impacted by rain. The Ceremony will take place under a covered pavilion. However, we suggest bringing clear umbrellas (for photos) in case of rain.

Question

Do we need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to attend?

Answer

We strongly prefer that you are up to date with your vaccinations. The Celebration will take place indoors, and we will have guests with travel plans who would be negatively impacted by quarantines. We kindly request that you take a PCR test a day or two before May 20th, and a rapid test the morning of.

Question

Can I bring a Plus One?

Answer

You may bring a plus one to the Celebration if you include them in your RSVP. The Ceremony is limited to guests named on the invitations.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

If you're invited to the Ceremony, please arrive by 5:50PM for photos. For the Celebration, we recommend arriving fairly close to the start time. The open bar will end exactly at 11pm, and the venue has not stated whether they will allow us to stay afterwards. If we can stay, all drink purchases after 11pm will be non-hosted.
