The Haldi ceremony is a pre-wedding ritual where the bride and groom's face, arms, hands, and feet are covered with a fragrant paste made from turmeric, sandalwood powder, rose water, and gram flour. The Pithi ceremony is a blessing for the couple and is believed to cleanse and purify the skin. It also has medicinal roots in Ayurveda, an alternative medicine system.

Significance of the Sangeet This celebration includes dances performed by relatives and friends of the Bride and Groom, songs by the elder female members of the family sung in unison with the bride as the focal point, and an open dance floor to commemorate the festivities for the following days.
