Join us for our welcome party at Shut Up Beach Bar in Mamaia, Constanța, right on the sand and under the palm leaves. It’ll be hot (up to 40°C), but we’re starting in the early evening, so the heat should ease off. A light jacket might come in handy later, though you probably won’t need it.

You’ll have the entire morning and early afternoon to enjoy Constanța – with its amazing beaches, great food, and plenty of time to relax before the festivities. Soak up the sun, savour the local flavours, and take it slow… you’re going to need your energy for the celebrations ahead!

Black-tie optional. Please wear modest attire suitable for an Orthodox church - covered shoulders for women, and light fabrics for the August heat.
The ceremony will take place in the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Constanța, a Neo-Byzantine Orthodox cathedral overlooking the Black Sea. An Orthodox wedding is rich in tradition and symbolism. You can expect the crowning, where ornate stefana linked by ribbon are placed on the couple’s heads, symbolising unity and shared responsibility. The couple will share the common cup of wine, representing their new life together, followed by the ceremonial walk around the altar, accompanied by incense, candlelight, and ancient hymns. The service lasts about 45 minutes, and guests are invited to observe quietly and respectfully throughout this solemn and beautiful occasion.
4:45 pm - 5:15 pm
After the ceremony, there will be a 30-minute slot for group photographs by the iconic Constanța Casino. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the cathedral along the seafront promenade. This is when the couple will take their wedding portraits. The Casino is an elegant Art Nouveau masterpiece perched right on the Black Sea - its sweeping curves, ornate windows, and weathered grandeur make it one of the city’s most beloved landmarks. Attendance is optional unless otherwise specified, but you are warmly welcome to join us and share in this beautiful pause before the celebrations continue.
