Joslyn Art Museum
The Joslyn Art Museum was recently updated and expanded. It is a fabulous place to visit with great exhibits and art. Regular admission is free.
Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium
The Henry Doorly Zoo is one of the best in the world. With the world's largest indoor desert and the largest indoor rainforest in North America. Jason and I have had a zoo membership through our relationship and do not visit enough. With more than 7 acres of indoor exhibits, Omaha's Zoo must visit when in town.
Lumen Beer
The best beer in Omaha - according to Jason. Though Lumen is a relatively new brewery, they have mastered sours, stouts and IPAs alike. Their menu is often limited, but each beer is great. They are located in Little Bohemia.
Roast Coffeehouse
This is Beth's domain. If the weather is nice, grab yourself a coffee and enjoy the huge patio. If you choose to visit on a Sunday during the summer, grab a coffee to head a block South to the Omaha Farmer's Market. Either way, grab a coffee.
Gene Leahy Mall at The RiverFront
This outdoor park has been updated with playgrounds, a skate ribbon, an amphitheater and more. If you are interested in a stroll downtown followed by a bite to eat, we recommend heading to La Buvette which is just a block South.
Kiewit Luminarium
The Luminarium is a place for everyone to explore the astonishing phenomena that shape our world, our communities, and ourselves. The newest addition to the River Front includes a fabulous restaurant named Fig (listed below) - which is a top ten lunch spot in Omaha.

Fig is a cute little restaurant in the Kiewit Luminarium. The coffee bar is excellent and their sandwiches are unmatched.
Sonny's
Sonny's is a relatively new addition to the Aksarben neighborhood. It offers outdoor music, an Airstream cocktail bar, and a great place to relax on a sunny day.
The Bull Moose Bar
This has become one of our favorite cocktail bars in Omaha. Their patio is dog friendly, their cocktails are ever changing, and their vibes are impeccable.
Joslyn Castle & Gardens
The Joslyn Castle is a Scottish-inspired castle dating back to 1903. It is neatly tucked between Blackstone and Gifford Park.
