Dress Code

Formal Cocktail Attire
Just as the name implies, formal cocktail attire is a dress code that leans more on the formal side. Unlike a black-tie dress code, an evening gown or tuxedo is not necessary for a cocktail formal event. You might, however, consider opting for dressier cocktail attire, meaning a midi to full-length dress as opposed to a mini dress. For men, we recommend a suit and tie in a classic color.
Dresses -
Midi, tea length, or full length is most appropriate. Steer clear of evening gowns as that would be more appropriate for a formal or black-tie wedding. Jumpsuits and pantsuits are great alternative for ladies who prefer a non-dress option! Just be sure that whichever one you choose follows the formality required of a cocktail dress code.
Suit and Tie -
Typically, a cocktail men's wedding guest outfit calls for a suit and tie or tailored blazer and dress pants. Generally, you can't go wrong with a suit for a wedding in a classic color like navy, gray or black.
