Molly + Phil love spending time walking through antique shops. Lucky for them, Milford is full of them! A quick Google search will pull up all of the great shops in walking distance of downtown Milford. The main street of downtown Milford is also sprinkled with specialty and gift shops.
The area surrounding Milford has many trails to explore! Here are a few we recommend: McDade Trail, Milford Knob, Cliff Trail For some good waterfalls - check these out: Dingmans Falls, Raymondskill Falls, and Silverthread Falls. All are within 20 minutes of Milford. If you want to venture farther, Buttermilk Falls, Silver Spray Falls, and Tillman Ravine in New Jersey are a short detour on the way to or from NJ/NYC.
Some recommendations if you're looking for a bite to eat or something to drink! Log Tavern Brewing - we love a good brewery! Soaked Winery Tasting Room - wine, need we say more? Waterwheel Cafe, Bakery + Bar - Sit on the deck along the river, hit the antique shops next door after! Hotel Fauchere/Bar Louis - for a classier spot, check out HF and sit on the beautiful front porch Tom Quick Inn - next door to Hotel Fauchere, with an equally as great front porch Dimmick Inn - sitting prominently on the main corner of downtown, good for casual drinks and eats!
Another little downtown close to the hotels is Port Jervis, NY. Foundry42 - coffee shop and adorable home/gift shop Fox N Hare Brewing Co - another brewery, can't go wrong! Fogwood + Fig - super cute vegan restaurant we have yet to try but definitely want to! the food looks beautiful, can we come with you? A few antique shops spot the main street as well! The NJTransit station from NYC is in Port Jervis, too
