Food recs

- Luce: Italian tapas! Need we say more?! We think it is fun to order several half sizes pasta plates, so you can taste the menu! Don’t skip the hanger steak, it’s divine! ($$-$$$) - Screen Door: Southern comfort food. Order the chicken & waffles. You won’t regret it. ($$) - ¿Por Qué No?: Some of the best tacos Portland has to offer! ($-$$) - Hawthorne Asylum Food Trucks: Over 20 curated food trucks in one spot. For the real Portland truckie experience, come here! The options are a bit overwhelming but the vibe is true to Portland’s motto: Keep Portland weird. ($-$$) -Phuket Cafe: A modern Thai eatery serving a creative take on Thai traditional dishes and craft cocktails. Not a single thing you’ll regret. Just yum. ($$-$$$) - Excellent Cuisine Chinese Food: One of Portland’s more colorful neighborhoods which means lock your car and leave no valuables in sight. But come here at lunch for the best Dim Sum you’ll ever have. ($-$$)

Oregon Wineries

(All wineries prefer/require reservations) - Adelsheim: One of the first producers of Pinot Noir in the Willamette Valley. - Gran Moraine: Known for their bubbles & whites. - Domaine Roy: Great views with amazing wine. - Ruby: Cute family-owned vineyard with a relaxed vibe. - Beacon Hill: Beautiful estate, great service.

Breweries

- 10 Barrel: Rooftop bar. Pretzels, nachos, burgers, pizza, and of course, beer. - Steeplejack: Beer hall in an old church. Praise be! - Thunder Island Brewing Co: Craft brewery with a river-front view of the Gorge. Gasp! - pFriem: World-class brewery in Hood River, OR with delicious wood fire pizzas.

Sights to See

- Vista House at Crown Point: This art deco historical landmark has the most stunning views of the Columbia River Gorge. We recommend going for sunrise or sunset. Stop at the Portland Women’s Forum first then cruise towards the Vista House for it’s sweeping views. - International Rose Test Garden: Take some time to smell the flowers as you stroll through fields of thousands of spectacular roses. Something truly unique to Portland with stunning views of the city. - Powell’s Book Store: Largest independent bookstore in the world! Visit the Burnside St. location to see how massive it truly is and get lost in the stacks. Maybe you’ll find your next novel. - Multnomah Falls: See this iconic double waterfall. Picturesque. Easy walk to the cute gift shop. Or continue past on a 2.6 mile moderate difficulty hike to the top of the falls. - Latourell Falls: This less known waterfall is a short walk from the parking lot. Be dazzled as you watch the water fall 249 feet.

Hikes

- Wahclella Falls: Moderate, 2 miles out and back with a beautiful waterfall at the end. Bonus points if you dive into the water. Parking available at the trail head or at Bonneville Fish Hatchery. - Angel’s Rest: Difficult, 4.5 miles out and back. Challenging but stunning vistas. - Trillium Lake: Easy, 2 miles. Loop around the lake with views of Mount Hood. If it doesn’t make you gasp and say ‘this is not real’, you’ll get your money back. - Silver Falls Loop: Easy/moderate, 3 miles. This loop takes you past 10 unique waterfalls.
